We’re decorating our homes and shopping for gifts, but in the midst of the holiday fun, I took some time out to enjoy the Ecco Shoes Spring 2013 preview. Even though we haven’t seen winter yet, it’s exciting to peak into the future with spring fashion! I must admit, if you asked me about Ecco Shoes last year, I wouldn’t have given them very much fashion cred. While they’ve always been known for comfort and quality, the styles just never fit with my look. Well ladies…times are changing and Ecco Shoes have really impressed me!

It started in the summer when they launched the revolutionary Sculptured 65 – a 65mm heel with extraordinary comfort and sleek designs. I have the patent black booties and they truly are the most comfortable heel I’ve ever worn. I wish they were taller, but my friends at Ecco assure me that’s coming!

So with the evolution of Ecco style well on its way, I was legitimately excited for the spring collection! At the always bustling and enjoyable Brill Communications headquarters, I enjoyed three themes in the SS’13 collection: Northern Light, Clean Cut and Rebel Nature.

Ecco Shoes

The Northern Light collection features relaxed and elegant summer styles in sun-faded pastels with hand-made details. I absolutely love the perforated leather sandals with contrasting wooden effect heels. Clean Cut features ladylike and sophisticated peep-toe pumps in unapologetic primary colours. While I enjoy the polished elegance of the shoes in this collection, it’s the handbags that  steal the show with smooth leather, bold colours and sharp lines. Last but not least, the Rebel Nature collection is rustic and simple with a rough side. The handcrafted elements like exposed stitching and faded soft leather lend a vintage vibe to classic styles like the wedge heel and moccasin flat.

These are my favourite styles from the Spring 2013 Ecco Shoes Collection:

In addition to the three themes noted above, Ecco Shoes also has a fabulous collection of colourful casual sneakers, lightweight running shoes, golf shoes and a kids collection as well! I really liked the bright orange Jogga Sneaker with contrasting laces!

While shoes may be their namesake,Ecco Shoes are also known for quality leather handbags and the spring collection includes gorgeous new styles! These are my faves:

I really enjoyed the ladies collections, especially the Northern Light line with faded pastel colours and perforated leather. So chic and stylish with that trusted Ecco comfort and durability! The men’s collections (within the same themes) were fabulous too, but clearly I was preoccupied with my own spring wishlist!

Now, back to decorating that tree ;)
